Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'

I have made several reservations here and then I finally
Was able to experience it!

Oh MY word! When people say 'YUMMY' they are not kidding. This place is The place!
Homestyle, oh yes.. Definitely the southern food with flare is what you get here!

The Chef actually was born and raised in FL, worked at Disney, became a famous Chef and now settled back home there! His recognitions are found throughout the restaurant.

One thing I truly love about this place is how all ingredient
s are brought in from local farmers/vendors! How nice to support locals! Huge Kudos for that!

We enjoyed our dining experience in using our Deluxe Dining plan (1) credit.
This provided us one appetizer, entree and dessert as well as one alcoholic selection.
This place is famous for their moonshine which Oh My Goodness was Super delicious!
This location is definitely worth using a dining credit on or even paying out of pocket depending on how you want to dine.

The restaurant is not very large so seating is a slightly more limited than others which makes for more friendly environment in my opinion. The dining location sits right by the 'springs' of Disney Springs so it provides a nice overlook especially seated next to the windows by the springs.
It is not a far walk from the Disney Bus stations, a simple walk will take about 5 minutes and over 1 bridge but ba
sically a straight shot.

The menu can range from $16.00 up to $36.00 not including drinks or desserts.
Here is full menu here CLICK ME

So my Dining cost and worth:
$15.00 appetizer
$27.00 Entree
$11.00 Dessert
$12.00 Drink
$65.00 Total or for 1 dining credit That is almost half the cost of the dining plan already and I have two more credits I can use! Great deal if you want to enjoy so many of the amazing dining choices that are available.

Even if I didn't get the appetizer the total would have been
$50.00 or 1 dining credit with the Regular Disney Dining Plan. That is over half the cost of the plan for a single day on 1 adult.

The Appetizers:

Seriously, if not using a dining plan and wanting to go on a budget, you would be set just ordering off this menu. Many options that are filling as well as super tasty.
We each order different appetizers so we could all share.
Church Lady Deviled Eggs, Bunch of Puppies and Thigh High Chicken Biscuits.
The Biscuits could have easily been a meal for one or even two people, So good!
Each were actually fantastic!
I felt like Remy in experiencing every bite I took.

UPDATED EXPERIENCE;

The staff have always been so friendly with each experience.

This trip we were on a budget. I didn’t want to over spend unnecessarily but I still wanted to enjoy ourselves. Plenty of opportunities to do this at Disney!!

I’ve Eaten at Chef Art Smiths multiple times and it’s never disappointed.

For this meal we decided to share two appetizers!!

Our choices were the thigh high chicken biscuits ($16.) and bunch of puppies ($10)

Total bill $26.00 +tax/tip =not bad for a table service meal!

You get 3 large chicken biscuits and a good helping of hush puppies. The food is pretty filling and definitely yummy

On each occasion I’ve experienced at this location, I’ve enjoyed each one. The entrees are large and can easily be shared. The desserts are huge portions-definitely recommend sharing or order more than one and then plenty to share/try each option. Ways to save; order one entree and appetizer then share between two. It can be hard to agree on one choice though when everything is super yummy.

Their drinks are always strong but still delicious!! I can’t give you any money savings tips here!! It’s pricey and will make the tab go up but definitely worth it!

They do offer a souvenir cup/koozee. Not too bad of a deal. Costs $20 and filled with your drink. You can come back and get free water/soda refills with it anytime.

Entrees:
I chose the grilled Pork Chop. It was not the best. It was not quite as flavorful as I was hoping for. I wanted to branch outside my norm. My Cohorts had the Braised Short ribs which they both LOVED.
With the Entree has the recommend sides but you can switch these out. I chose the Mac & Cheese & green beans.

Desserts:
I chose the Hamilton Chocolate Pecan Pie. I ate every bite even though I was stuffed to the gills. My friend chose the Hummingbird cake. This is basically one of those HUGE cake slices that could feed a whole family... Just FYI. In a way, it makes it a great option when dining on a budget but also enjoying great food options.

I did also enjoy my Moonshine! I chose the Moonshine Mash. I Could NOT taste any alcohol. It was delicious. I sadly lost my picture of my drink --But I have pics of my friends!
