California Grill Brunch experience
OK, Let me start with WOW and then finish with AMAZING!
Brunch at the Top at the California Grill located inside Disney's Contemporary Resort.
$90.00 per person dining EXPERIENCE or 2 dining credits under the Disney Dining plan!
Definitely worth the credit use! $90.00 would not include any extra beverages. You are provided free mimosas however!
Fun fact for those driving in, Valet parking is included. You will need to redeem the voucher at check in kiosk located on 3rd floor of resort.
The restaurant is located on the 15th floor.
Not only are you catered with fine dining but all while enjoying live band and a truly amazing view over the 7 seas lagoon and Magic Kingdom.
What do you get that is so amazing?
What do you not get is the real question.
First, you are treated to a counter bar of amazing food options.
Charcuterie options
Greek yogurt with topping options
Quiche
Deviled eggs (specialty ones)
Sushi options
Smoked fishes
Strawberry Salad
and much more
One thing that fascinated me was not just the options but the quality of the options.
Ex: they had a real honeycomb there. It was so fresh and perfect added to my toast.
Next:
You get to pick any and all entrees you want!
That's right, you could technically order all entrees available.
I would not say you could eat them all.
They also routinely replace what entrees are available, keeping the menu fresh an up to date. I like this. When we went, the menu options were not the same as what the menu shows on the website.
They have since updated it.
On our day, it was the first day the Chicken and Toast entree(Avocado, House-made Sourdough, Ají Panca Mayonnaise, Yuzu Pickles, Cilantro, Parsley) premiered. This is also what I selected along with the Blueberry pancakes(Local Blueberries, Vanilla Custard, Blueberry Compote, Warm Canadian Maple Syrup). Oh my gosh!! Delicious. I must say, this meal was by far my favorite during my entire stay.
Our Waitress told us though they are coming out with a Bison Burger and the French Toast will be removed.

I would say it would be hard to go wrong with any choice. .
A dessert bar was also available; Bourbon Cake served with ice cream and candied cornflakes. Seriously, the cornflakes can't be missed!!!
One really neat feature for the Bloody Mary lovers, they have a bloody Mary bar. So many selections in how to create your custom bloody Mary! The Bartender will create for you but all the ingredients are in front of you for selecting! I thought this was great!
You are NOT done yet!!!
Oh no, you still have dessert to come.
Each guest is served a dessert tray consisting of specialty truffles, macaroons, candy bark etc. We had to take ours to go! That is one great thing about the dessert, it is easy to take to go!
Some things to keep in mind.
1) If using dining plan, you have a choice of the free mimosas or 1 single alcoholic beverage. You can't get both.
2) acoustics here make this dining room very loud. Very noisy. It is not unbearable but very noticeable. If this can be an issue for someone, it is important to know.
This is on my list to do again. I can't do it with my family however, They are NOT foodies.. Would not care for or appreciate the cuisine.
I do plan to go again with my girl/adult trip. (OH YES, I will enjoy again!)
This was also the trip I lost all my pictures!!!! BOOO.. I had so many, I simply must go back for a re-do!!
