Disney Churro Recipe review by Dealing with Disney

Image
I tried to make the Disney churro using Disney's recipe. Here is how it went... Let me start with, I am not the best in the kitchen. They did turn out pretty good though even with my skill level. This so far has been the easiest recipe I have dealt with of Disney's. Recipe is Very simple, pretty quick to make (maybe 25-30 minutes for a slow person ) and turned out pretty tasty. The whole family gave it a thumbs up. UPDATE:  I tried it again!! This time when I made it, I put it in the fridge over night, I was trying to save time and prepped ahead! This worked out way better.  It made the dough more manageable.  I did cut the whole larger in the piping (ziplock bag). it was too big but I was able to just roll it in hands like play-doh to make longer and thinner.  Worked great!! Here is DIRECT LINK to the recipe Ingredients 1 cup water 8 tablespoons butter ¼ teaspoon salt ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour 3 eggs 1 ½ cups veget

Disnny Pretzel recipe tried and review by Dealing with Disney

We made the Disney Pretzel recipe: Here is the recipe and I am putting in my thoughts under it for what worked and didn’t work for us. Ingredients 1 1/2 cups warm water 2 teaspoon salt 4 1/2 cups flour 2/3 cups baking soda 1 Tablespoon sugar 1 packet active dry yeast 2 ounces butter, melted 1 egg, beaten Directions  Combine water, sugar, and salt in a large bowl, and sprinkle yeast on top. Let sit for 5 minutes or until the mixture begins to foam. Add the flour and butter, and mix on low speed until well-combined. Add a ½ cup of rainbow sprinkles. Mix on medium speed for about 4-5 minutes until dough is smooth and pulls away from the side of the bowl.  Remove dough from bowl. Clean the bowl and spray with oil. Return dough to bowl and cover with a tea towel, and let it sit in a warm place for about 50-55 minutes, or until the dough has doubled in size.  Preheat oven to 450˚F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and spray with oil.  Bring a medium pot of wate

Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, The Great Smokey Mountains review by Dealing with Disney

Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, The Great Smokey Mountains Great town and some may call it a tourist trap (in a good way) but every time we have gone, we have always enjoyed it. From the amazing Smokey mountain views to the beautiful streams that run through, you will definitely find great picture spots. We have normally stayed at the WestGate resorts during our stays here -they have a large indoor water park (pay extra to get in) and have condo style rooms. It is a Vacation club resort but they still will rent rooms available. This resort is on the outskirts of town so you can’t walk to town from here. They offer a trolley service however. I have many friends that have rented amazing cabins which can provide amazing views, home comforts and privacy. Many cabins will have their own hot tubs or mini inside pools(like a grotto) ! Parking in town can be tricky at times and many places require a parking fee.  Just things to keep in mind. Just a heads up, lots of Hemp st
