Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter resort review by Dealing with Disney

Image
This beautiful resort perfectly captures the real French Quarter of New Orleans with its architectural design & beauty. I truly enjoy this resort from, its peaceful but lively feel. This resort sits next to Disney’s Port Orleans River Side resort but is a smaller resort.  (see my review of Riverside HERE ) This is a dog friendly resort as well. You can pay extra to have your dog stay with you here. Don’t be surprised if you see many dogs around the resort grounds. ($50.00 per night for the pet fee-See current Disney rules HERE ) The resort offers Disney Bus transportation to/from the parks but they do have a boat that takes you to Disney Springs. The boats also will take you to Riverside resort in case you need to visit there. It is considered a Disney Springs resort in regard to resort grounds location of the Walt Disney World Resort properties. Like all the other resorts, fun kid/family interactions are offered here daily from making Mardi Gras masks, handi

We made the Disney's Beignet recipe that Port Orleans French offers by dealing with disney

We made the Disney's Beignet recipe that Port Orleans French offers by Dealing with Disney So Disney's Port Orlean's French Quarter Resort offers up these amazing Beignets within their food court. (they do stop selling them at 3pm however!) Deep fried Dough topped with mounds of confectionary sugar. depending on season, they will offer a special flavor twist to the serving. They are Similar but better to a funnel cake. They are typically square in shape but Disney offers their own version of mickey head ones. These famous delights are a specialty in New Orleans. I was lucky enough to try them first hand at The Famous Cafe Du Monde -incredible. When Disney posted their recipes during quarantine, I just had to try! Well... success but not as good. I feel they left out an ingredient on purpose lol.. Just to show how much better theirs are. My batch turned out good just not quite as sweet. Ours were not covered in the sugar however. Few things to think about.

The Enchanted Rose at Grand Floridian of Disney review by Dealing with Disney

Image
T he Enchanted Rose  located at  D isney's Grand Floridian  I had the opportunity to try it out.  Well. When I say 'I tried it out' what I really mean is, I went in, sat down, peaked at menu , admired decor and left lol. We felt it was a little too uptight for our current mood. It was gorgeous and the food options looked great. I just could not feel ‘relaxed’ there. It was a tad too formal for me.  We were very close to ordering a food item but just ultimately decided to hit up  G asparilla Island Grill  instead which I am glad we did !  Maybe another visit down the road will be more right for the time Here is Disney's site for current peak of location/menu etc. click HERE

The Grand Floridian Resort of Disney by Dealing with Disney

The Grand Floridian Resort at Walt Disney World  is The preeminent Disney resort epitomizing the combination of Florida and Disney Magic. This exquisite resort has hosted presidents, celebrities and many guests that want that picture perfect Disney experience. It is designed with the southern plantation style mixed with the Victorian sea-side resorts of the old days.  Each guest is provided a white luxury robe to use during             .their stay! FYI, this blog has quite a few links for more details within this resort or Disney.  You can’t beat the views and service it provides! This resort is one of the 3 Disney resorts connected to the Monorail for easy access to Magic Kingdom or the Disney transportation station. It also has ferry boats (which I prefer) for transportation to/from Magic Kingdom. One issue for the monorail part is that it is the last resort pick up before you get to the Magic Kingdom so sometimes it can be full from the other resort loads. This als
