Fantasy of Festival Parade review

Image
Disney hosts the Festival of Fantasy parade every day at 3pm. During winter season it is usually held at 2pm Daily the parade will come out starting at left side of Splash mountain, runs down Adventureland into Liberty square where it turns to head down the Central hub and on to Main street where it exits to the right of the fire station. There are many great places to watch the parade. A few of my favorites are the store fronts in Adventureland or the hub in front of the train station. Selecting a location for viewing can be very important depending on the season! You don't want to choose a viewing point where you have to look into the sun to see it while coming towards you. You also may want to choose a shady spot as well(depending on season) to stay out of the sun while viewing it in the summer or sitting in the sun during winter. I prefer to sit in front on the street. Another great location though is on the train station platform. Great view to look down at. Since it does

Disney Cake POPs

Image
There are a never ending array of treats to be had while at any of the Disney locations; land, sea, world and more. Here is my take on their delicious and addicting Cake pops! Well, I think that just summed it up! Not to mention these little treats are hand made. Many times you can walk into their bakeries and watch make them right there! We did a little taste test of the Cake pops available at the Magic Kingdom's Main Street Confectionary  We chose the Cake Pops this go around. They were themed for Easter since it is the current holiday. $4.99 each or 1 Disney Dining Plan Snack Credit. I actually bought these to take home & enjoy. I did have to ask for a container to hold them for our drive back home. They traveled perfectly!  Two of them were coated in sugar crystals, White chocolate was under the sugar coating and the inside was a chocolate cake center. The taste/consistency was almost like a super moist cake or browny. I may need to grab more next time trip, so

Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Image
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, I just love this ride! The ride resides at Magic Kingdom of Disney World and Disneyland! Perfect for the little ones and the big ones as you go through the story book of Winnie the Pooh. If you look close enough you will see a framed picture of Toad handing over the Deed to Pooh since the ride sits where Toad's Wild Ride once did. This ride can easily build an extended queue. On average I have seen it 45-50 minutes. If you hit it early in the morning or late in evening, you can usually get on fairly quickly. I don't usually secure a fast pass for this attraction due to this reason unless at the park grabbing ones after the use of my initial 3. This is a frequent ride we like to hit on each visit! It is also one where the Fast Pass is pretty openly available. Of course, high crowd times, all things can be the exception. Now, this ride also has a tendency of breaking down pretty often. Keep this in mind. If you see it down, Give it

Quick Service pre-orders at Disney World

Image
You can't go wrong in taking advantage of the My Disney Experience Quick Service Meal Pre-orders!  Quick service allowing pre-order for Magic Kingdom I feel like I hit the jackpot every time I utilize this service! Especially on my last trip! We just finished riding Winnie the Pooh and of course exited into the gift shop. We were hungry and wanted to eat. Pinocchio Village Haus  was right across from us and where we wanted to eat. I had not even looked over there yet. I thought it would be easy to let my little browse the store while I order the food! Win-win. I processed my order which was two kid meals that came with drinks and two sides. As we started our walk over there, I could not believe how long the line was! I had never actually seen it so long before. I am not sure if you have ever seen quick service counters at the middle of lunch hour but they can be chaotic and stressful. It is loud, you are struggling to get everyone's orders in while feeling this since of

Pick a Pearl at EPCOT's Japan

Image
We experienced the fun of picking a pearl at EPCOT's Japan inside World Showcase. We had such a great time with it the last time that we wanted to do it again! Watch it action HERE There are many places(little kiosks) around Walt Disney World where you can pick a pearl but the best location for a true experience is Japan. They make a true cultural tradition of it. $16.95 per oyster selected. A pearl is guaranteed with each selection. The surprise is how large your pearl is and what color! Some lucky ones can get twin pearls!! We were lucky and received a silver, Silver blue, White & pink from our picks. Average size is 7. They place the pearl in a little baggy with the size listed. There are also many ways to display your pearl. My son and Daughter chose a little sand bottle that was only $4.95 each. They have different colored sand options as well. At that age(son 13, daughter 5), I thought it best to let it stay in the bottle versus buying a necklace or bracelet. O

'Ohana & Minnie's Seasonal Dining

Image
Look! It's my first official 'blog' post! I wanted to discuss Character Breakfasts. I love them, most of them! I recently visited two from my last trip;  Minnie's Seasonal Dining Hollywood & Vine  at Hollywood & Vine located in Hollywood Studios and   "Ohana Best Friends Breakfast Neither disappointed. Here are some things to consider when doing them. Pretty much all Character Meals are set prices. Breakfast being least expensive and Dinners being most expensive. If using the Dining plan, I recommend a dinner. Not just for the cost advantage in savings but it is also a great time to rest a bit from park touring. If paying out of pocket, I suggest a breakfast since it is your cheapest option. Many people or forums have recommended early dining reservations at the parks (any table service) in order to gain early entrance to get that one extra advantage in park touring. I don't recommend this as much any more, especially with Magic Kingdom or A
