Fantasy of Festival Parade review

Disney hosts the Festival of Fantasy parade every day at 3pm. During winter season it is usually held at 2pm
Daily the parade will come out starting at left side of Splash mountain, runs down Adventureland into Liberty square where it turns to head down the Central hub and on to Main street where it exits to the right of the fire station.

There are many great places to watch the parade. A few of my favorites are the store fronts in Adventureland or the hub in front of the train station. Selecting a location for viewing can be very important depending on the season! You don't want to choose a viewing point where you have to look into the sun to see it while coming towards you. You also may want to choose a shady spot as well(depending on season) to stay out of the sun while viewing it in the summer or sitting in the sun during winter. I prefer to sit in front on the street. Another great location though is on the train station platform. Great view to look down at.

Since it does start in Adventureland,  you can see it and be done with it before the guests that are waiting down on Main Street to see it. This can be advantageous when beating crowds to an attraction after the parade.

You do want to stake out your viewing area at least 30 minutes prior to parade time. I do 40 as a cushion! A good indicator to start saving your spot is when the cast members start taping off the parade path for the route.

I like to sit and relax, eat a snack while waiting for the parade! If you get there late to choose a viewing area, you will be standing and peeping through heads. Once, we sat early near Sleepy hollow so we could grab a funnel cake and watch the parade! We still were able to sit by the taped off line, eat & watch.

Currently Tony's Town Square restaurant does offer a parade dining package. It is a little more cost for the dining since it comes as a package including dessert. They will provide fast passes for the parade, The fast pass location for this package is at the Main street hub in front of the train station.
The restaurant is not my favorite, basic italian equivalent to Olive Garden.

Inclement weather: Yes, the parade has a modified version that will still run in the rain depending on severity. Sometimes, it will even delay the parade and run later depending on how they are reading the forecast. So, get your ponchos out!

You can also use this advise for the special ticket party parades.

These guys tend to scare the timid children. I have a plan with mine for these, she knows to hide eyes or get behind me.

virtual Run Disney review from Dealing with Disney

I decided to finally see what the virtual Disney Runs were all about. A friend of mine told me she signed up. She wanted to keep her momentum going which inspired me to look into as well. I have learned to love the Run Disney events. It appears they offer seasonal Virtual events options from the Run Disney website. (see link HERE ) There were 3 races available to choose from or a full circuit registration containing all 3 races. This came with a bonus medal as well.  Each event was $45.00 and the combined package was $145.00. This was more $$ obviously but ok, I can see they have added in the cost of the extra medal you earn. What does this get me or should I say, what do I get out of this event? I can see the Disney love of just doing it for Disney,  doing it for the medal or doing it to keep momentum of working towards goals. All options seemed very reasonable to me and got me excited, therefore I signed up for the gauntlet. My friend pointed out her whole family

Walt Disney World Halloween 2020 re-opening experiences by Dealing with Disney

My review from my latest Disney world experience.   This trip was definitely not one of my favorites! Before you read all my cons.. .Keep  in mind, I still enjoyed this trip.  The main point of this is to have proper expectation for your needs/stay. If you go into a park without proper expectation, it can really throw your trip OFF!  We had some great moments. We had some rest spots - drinks - treats which were nice.   One amazing PLUS: The security checks are a breeze now! No lie.. their big concern are umbrellas and water bottles (metal ones) tend to set off the machines. They ask for those to be pulled out of back packs but all other items you can walk through with!  I loved still having the time to appreciate the little things in the park that we take for granted. The craftsmanship in all the art around the park/architecture , the plant life every where!   I will be honest, part of the reason was due to my own family! Hey, I always like to keep It real-in perspective we shall say.
