Typhoon Lagoon

Time for Typhoon Lagoon water park review!
I absolutely love the Disney Water Parks..
We had been going to Blizzard Beach mostly before and thought it was time to switch things up and enter Typhoon again. We were actually going to go to both but ended up staying all day at Typhoon! We had a blast!

Have your agent tell you how to get tickets or arrange a day to plan at the water parks!

Mostly the hours are from 10am -8 pm.
They provide free Disney transportation from resorts to water parks HOWEVER, not directly typically. At times direct bus routes are offered but currently with the bus shortages going on it it not likely to have this.
Usually The Disney Springs resort will also offer the drop off at Typhoon Lagoon and the Animal Kingdom park Bus will offer the Blizzard Beach drop. Now, sometimes, you will have to exit the Animal Kingdom bus and then change busses to Blizzard. They always have bus signs to assist with how to get to where you need to go.
We opted to drive. I always prefer driving when I can to and from water parks. Free parking for anyone visiting.
The biggest features at Typhoon Lagoon that distinguish it from Blizzard (besides the theming) is the coaster flumes, the huge tidal wave at the wave pool and the new Miss Adventure Falls Family raft ride.
They did remove the shark reef snorkeling pond.
They have many flume rides, lazy river & Family raft ride. The family raft ride is extremely short and a waste of time. The new Family raft ride is longer and more enjoyable but it was down all day so I was unable to take pictures of it. Erg!
They also offer character Meet & Greets. Lilo and Stitch meet guests here. My kids declined to meet them. There was NO line to meet them either.. I wanted to yell at them for not wanting to meet them but ---oh well..
The Locker rentals are $10.00 for a single locker and $17. for a double. All electronically done. Either use your Credit card or a gift card (no cash) I only placed my wallet in the locker and just left everything else in my beach bag on chair. We didn't have an issue.
$2.00 per towel if you don't bring your own. We didn't bring any and we didn't rent any! lol.. It was so hot we dried mostly just walking to the car from the park.
The Wave created in the Wave pool is huge and powerful. I have never seen anyone get hurt personally but I have read about many people getting hurt. It can knock you down!
My boys had so much fun in the pool they hardly did any flume rides! I hope my pictures did it justice! I took one at an angle so you can see the height of the wave better.
Finding chairs. Don't just settle for the front chairs (those do fill up quickly) but they are also mostly exposed during day(no shade). It is nice being there though -right near wave pool and food areas. There are many more chairs in back of park around kid area that have more shaded chairs (nice for the afternoon showers that are common)
The kid area is pretty nice. Fairly large. They have tons of toddler size slides, splash areas and water puddle areas. They also have a small kid size raft slide that is very tame but fun for the little ones. Over near the wave pool they have more advanced toddler size slides. There is bench built into the wall facing these slides which is a perfect spot to watch your little one climb up and slide down. Have your legs in the water! I loved that spot, I must admit!
Tons of racks for life jackets were available throughout the park. Two bathrooms available, one in front of park and one in back.
Large clock there to help show time.
Love the rinse off area, they have the standard shower type faucets but they also have a foot rinse area. You just hold your foot out and it has a sensor to activate the water. Nice flow to really rinse it well. Simple things impress me!

Some Advise!!!
Take a gift card or buy a wrist band Gift card to make buying foods/drinks easier!!!
No need to run back & forth to your locker!
Keep needed items at your staked out area like Suntan lotions, water bottles, etc.
Make sure to re-apply sunscreen!! You don't want to get burned while on vacation.
Don't forget your locker #!!! Write it down or make sure to memorize it!
Take an underwater camera! Don't take a chance on missing out on those magical moments.
The walkways get HOT, Take water shoes or flip flops. You can't wear them on the flumes but you can hold them!

The foot rinse!
