Disney’s key to the Kingdom tour at Magic Kingdom

Time for a review of my Keys to the Kingdom Tour located at Magic Kingdom
Unfortunately, they just raised the price to $99.00+tax per person. I paid $79.00 +tax
This does not include the cost of admission that is required to enter the park! womp womp wommmm.
If you are an annual pass holder, you do get a discount!
They have 4 tours a day all starting in the early morning spaced at 30 minutes apart.
The tour lasts 5 hours and comes with a counter service type lunch.
You basically tour each land and learn some history of each. Little fun facts are pointed out.
You get to learn how some things operate and see some behind the scenes action!
Each tour can slightly change. They do let you ride two rides during the tour. The rides can vary as well.

Our rides were Jungle Cruise & Haunted Mansion. During the Jungle cruise, they did not do their Pun spiel. Instead we got to hear great info regarding the ride itself. How the river represents 4 major rivers in the world. Information regarding the animontronics.
I could go on and on about all the little tidbits of information provided to us. I do feel I know a good bit but even I still learn things. I love learning the history of the park I adore.
We went to where the floats were stored. I was so close. I wanted to just run to one and touch all over it, like Nemo touching the butt!!!
I think they would have kicked me out though. SO CLOSE!!!
They take such care of them too. A cleaner was cleaning each pearl on Ariels float while we were there.

We also got to explore underground disney which technically isn't even underground! We saw a half dressed Mary Poppins. They have a pin station for employees to visit to freshen up their pins they trade with. ( I just found out they closed their pin station and instead provide the pins to directors who take them to each land area~ hmmm interesting)You can find pins from cast members that you can't find anywhere else.
From a business aspect, this place operates like no other. It is no wonder so many other companies try to reach out to hire imagineers to make their companies run better.
We saw all the merchandise purchased set to be sent out to respected resorts. Such a well oiled machine!

This Disney Dork was in awe!
Our Lunch: we were given a menu at time of check in. We could order variety of hotdogs, BBQ sandwich or grilled Cesar salad. May have been more options. I forget now! sorry!
You have a choice of side and drink as well.
Typical Disney will definitely cater to food allergies or diet restrictions as well.
Sometimes they may order from other restaurants. I know on some tours, they were held at Columbia Harbour house. Just so you are aware, the Lunch offered can change.
You can take pictures but once behind the scenes, it is a no no.
You are given an ear piece to hear the guide.
You are given a keepsake pin with your name, a bottle of water to start the tour with & you are given a special souvenir as well.

Check in is at Town Square Theater 15 minutes prior to tour time.
Cancellations must be made 2 days prior.

Our little radio / ear gear!!
Meet up! Look how prepared they are!
Free water bottles are also provided!
And we are off starting our tour
See all the credits given to many of the creators and imagineers of the Parks
Main Street is also considered a work of art and as all works of art, they are given end credits. As you are at the end of Main street facing closest to castle and look back, You will see Walt on one side and Roy on the other in the Windows as they are given their End Credit homage.

One Fun Part of the tour, we were in the park prior to officially opening. It was neat to see the cast members walking the guests into the lands at their Rope Drops. These Awesome Cast Members were posing for us Tour Dorks as we were enjoying & taking pictures of this rare view from the other side of Rope Drop.
Fun to feel special as you are walked right onto a boat without waiting in ANY line by a Cast Member!

If you can see the 4 little windows on the far left side midway up, those are the windows belonging to Cinderella's Suite.
Our food was all prepared as we had requested and even had table markers for us!!! So Cool to be served!
Back Hall Entrance of Haunted Mansion.

When on tour, I learned the Electric Water Parade is actually the Longest Running Parade of any Disney Resort/parks! I loved it as a kid and I still love it!!!
