Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort

Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort

This is one of my top favorite resorts available at Walt Disney World's Resorts®!

Nestled right in the woods and considered a Magic Kingdom Resort. You can quickly get to Magic Kingdom via Boat ride in about 15-20 minutes if you catch a boat at the dock.

The resort is absolutely beautiful. Most rooms are nestled within the Main building except for the Boulder Ridge Suites. I love being in a deluxe resort where everything is accessible via inside the resort instead of walking the resort grounds to get 'to & from' places especially if it is raining. It took us only 1-3 minutes to walk from our room to anywhere we needed to go; boat dock, pool, quick service, service desk or the Bus stop.

My favorite Disney Mode of transportation is also the boats, so I Definitely love being able to take the boat very easily over to Magic Kingdom.  Just walking down the trails to the docks is gorgeous and serene. The boat ride always puts me in a peaceful mood!

We stayed in a Copper Creek room this time which is part of the DVC units of the resort. Any guest can book these rooms based on availability. What I love about these rooms is the great little kitchenette it comes with!

The room is spacious enough but more for a smaller family. The room only occupies up to 4 guests or 4 guests and a child under 3. 1 Queen bed and 1 full size sleeper sofa.

The other stays have been in the classic original rooms. They are not the biggest and it was tight fit for my family of 5 (at the time 2 adults, 2 older kids and 1 child under 3). We had the pack-n-play available by request from resort wedged between our bed and the bunkbeds we had. We had a woods view which is what it s~woods.

The restaurants available at this resort are also so on point in yumminess factor! The quick service is Roaring Forks which has never disappointed me (Famous for their campfire cupcake). Their Table service restaurant is Whispering Canyon, known for their great food and delightful table service. Unfortunately their table service antics have been turned down a notch so now it is basic service like any restaurant. Artist Point is their signature Dining service. I have not been able to dine here yet, but have only heard great things from it.
Geyser Point Bar & Grill is still somewhat newer bar service offered here. It is very good and typically expensive Disney priced drinks. The setting is so cozy along with great view. If you want a more private, you can always order your drinks to go. Each person is allowed to order and carry two drinks.

Wilderness Lodge pays homage to the tribal nations that first created paths in our country along with theming dedicated to the beautiful land of our country. You can see it throughout the resort.
If you ever want a tour, just ask the guest service department. It is fascinating to learn about the resort.  They also have a hidden Mickey scavenger hunt! Again, just ask the guest service department for the sheet to start your hunt. Once completed, turn it in to get your certificate!

The pool here is so nice. Not the biggest of resort pools but still just such a fun setting with the mountain landscaping.

The downside to this resort is it doesn't offer many rooms that can accommodate larger families.
The plus side, it is a lower priced resort option within the deluxe resorts and has quick access to Magic Kingdom.

This resort is also trying out the new Digital Key room access, see more here Click-me
