Art of Animation Suite review

I highly recommend the suites at Art of Animation!

Review of Art of Animation
We stayed in the Cars Suite this time. I have stayed in Nemo suites as well. I will be enjoying the Suites again come this November!!
I  greatly enjoyed this resort and find it really one of the most accommodating value resort for a family of 5.  It also also great for a family with younger kids, you can provide them a quiet space while you relax in another.
We could definitely pull off a cheaper stay at a Moderate like Port Orleans Riverside or Caribbean Beach if our 5 were of the much younger range. Our family is older and is requiring more space and the luxury of the two full bathrooms the suites offer is priceless.
We had a perfect room during our stay. I did request an upper level (received 2nd floor) room 4408. It had a parking lot view(honestly , I am not one to care much for view unless staying somewhere like Old Key West, Poly or Animal Kingdom Lodge) Wilderness Lodge(not sure if there is a bad view... Hmmm.)
We had no noise from above or from hallway. We were Close to end of building that sits closest to lobby & bus stops, not a bad walk at all. Maybe 3 minutes?

When we were in Nemo Suite, I felt further away from main building but was very close to pool. We are on bottom floor. I am surprised I didn't care for it as much. Seemed noisier. Although, I usually prefer main floor so less walking. Always a con to a pro!
Love having a table to eat at. We went moderate budget this trip. Eating Local fast foods and bringing snacks with us for resort. It was not a typical stay. I had to visit a sick relative and left family at resort. Having the Kitchenette was extremely helpful; microwave, coffee/tea maker, nicer colder fridge and a sink along with paper goods and utensils.
They do offer outdoor movies nightly but they share with POP Century in this. It alternates nightly between the resorts as to where it is played. POP is an easy walk across a bridge!
Loved having the nicer beds (queen in main bedroom) and the 2 full size ones in living space of suite.
Younger children really just are amazed at the decor in the Value resorts. The oversized character theming is real to them. I admit I greatly admire it as well.
Disney spared no loss of detail when decorating their rooms. From the sofa that looks like a rear seat in a car to the coffee table with a map layout. It is just beautiful to me. I am not a huge Cars fan but I did want to check it out for first hand review. I do normally stay in the Nemo suites. If I can't get Nemo, I opt for the Family suites. This means you could get any 1 of the 3 themed suites. Luck of the draw. It helps to request the one you like though. I have managed to get Nemo few times. It is a gamble but if you get it, You just saved $17.00 per night. Nemo suites are $17.00 more per night than the others. I will actually request cars again however due to proximity. We drive mostly and it is nice being closer to main building, Bus stop and parking lot. Love not having to lug luggage forever.
We did actually encounter an issue at check in. Our Magic bands would not unlock our room doors. I spent an hour at Guest services trying to get them corrected. They were registered and 'synced' yet wouldn't work. After research it was determined I had too many magic bands linked to My Disney Experience account.. OOPS.. Yes, I like to order new bands on every stay.. I may have a problem. The Super Nice Cast Member kept thanking me for my patience.. Honestly, I was happy to be there and not think of anything else more worrisome. He unlinked un-needed bands and gave me a wealth of information. He talked about his love still for Disney and how him and his friends spend half their paychecks there. I thought it was nice the magic wasn't ruined for them by having to work in it. That can disenchant sometimes, especially when dealing with entitled people.
He was so gracious he ended up giving me 3 free fast passes. I was thankful and surprised. I really didn't feel it was a big deal and felt it was really partly my fault! I was not going to argue with the gesture however! Of course, we ended up not even using them!
I still think the suites are a bit pricey and cost more than a moderate stay but if you can get them on a promo, you are good! With Promo, well worth it! Love the Space, the 2 bathrooms, separate main bedroom, two TVs and nicer mini fridge... hard to not use this resort as our main go to.
The Cars Suites also have their own little pool. TO me, It is adorable and just fully takes you right into the movie. It is smaller but not crowded. The main pool that sits in the middle of the Nemo suites does have music piped in so when under water you can hear it! They also have a large fun splash area by mainn pool as well for the tots.

I really love the food courts at both Art of Animation and POP
SO much is offered there. Very organized and easy to navigate through them even during rush time!

Our Goal, took pictures of all the cars!! Kids love the theming at the Values. I do too!

Love the space the Suites provide!

You have got to love this detail! The sofa looking like the back seat of an old car! Classic!!!

Kitchenette themed after a mechanic shop.

Cozy Cone pool area. Really cute, The Cone cabanas are a first come first serve area.

Really listen to your surroundings, They have sound affects that just add the extra magic!
