H2 Glow Night at Typhoon Lagoon! Dealing with Disney review

I enjoyed round two at H2Glow at Typhoon Lagoon!!!
It was such a hit we had to do it again! I am updating my experience!

My experience at the H2 glow Party at Typhoon Lagoon
So excited to have been able to try out this special ticket event!!

This is usually only offered during the Summer months!

It was way worth the $$$ in my book!!

My main point of this review, besides the event itself, is to show how special events that come about should really be considered! It seems Disney is offering more and more special events. Some can be really worth it and some, not so much.

The cost itself was close to the same cost as a regular day admission, $59.00 adult (party) & $65.00(regular).

Party was from 8pm to 11pm but could enter the park early at 7pm. This provided 4 full hours of water park time with practically no one there!

We literally walked on every slide multiple times. In the end, the family wanted to stay in the big wave pool. They couldn’t get enough of the huge tidal wave!! BUT for a calmer pool area, me and the little one headed over by the Crush'n'Gusher. There is a large enough section here of shallow still water for smaller kids to play in. See the Wave FB link HERE

During Round two, we pretty much did the same!!!

We did so much that we felt very fulfilled and very content leaving at 11.

My 6 yr old loved it as well!! She pretty much had the entire kid play area to herself. For an introverted kid, this is living!!!

Special foods were available as well as specialty cocktails that were only available during party! You could still get regular quick service options up until close of regular hours. They did sell limited QS items (hotdogs and nachos) during the party.

Buzz had a M&G
Jessie & Woody also had a M&G
We met buzz 3 times. They never had lines either. I saw people walking to them but it was literally no wait.

What was really fun too, they added special floats for the lazy river; unicorns, dragons, parrots, rubber ducky -so that was the thing to have while enjoying the river!!

It was pretty funny in beginning of party, we got in lazy river first to get to other area of park. There were so many empty floats that ended up creating a log jam!! We had to throw them off to get through.

On the beach area in front of wave pool was the DJ dance area set up.
Rex was hosting the dance party. (Just a statue of Rex)
Cool lights and great music played through night!!
Loved it.  See the FB link HERE

Now some tips.
*You could buy some glow products at park but I would bring your own.
*I was expecting more lighting affects throughout park so I was very disappointed in that aspect. Only lighting they had was at dance area.
*buy a gift card with a rubber band around it for your kids. They could always use their magic band, but if you want them to not have access to charging, the gift cards work great. Plus, the magic band/My Disney Experience system tends to glitch pretty often. Handy having a back up especially at a water park where you don’t want to carry a wallet.
*the giant tidal wave is no joke! It will knock you down!
I (dumb moment) thought I could hold my little one while sitting at most shallow area when wave rolled through. Nope. I was knocked over, scraping my elbow pretty bad trying to protect her. I should have known better since I’ve been knocked down before by this!!
If you are out in the water, you should be fine. I’m a chicken with it though!!

*Towels are $2.00 each per rental or bring your own
* Locker rentals are available. We did utilize this for personal items & phones. All other items (clothing, change, shoes, lotions, etc) were kept in a beach bag and left by chairs we staked out. $10 small & $15 for double.

Important to know, what happens if there is rain or a storm at the water parks:?
Just rain: park is open
Lightening: 20 miles away~high altitude rides close, 7 miles away~entire park closes. It will remain closed for 30 minutes from last documented lightening.

It was a little too dark in some areas.

What I love best about this night event, no worries of a sunburn!!!

barely see the rainbow!

The raft dam on the lazy river!!!! It was taken care of fairly quickly.
