Magic Kingdom Dessert Party options & Reviews

What is the deal with all the different dessert party options offered at Magic Kingdom?

Fireworks Dessert Party Party at Tomorrowland Terrace versus Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden View

The Terrace view:
Adult $84.  (ages 10&+)
Cild $50. (ages 3-9)

Garden View:
Adult $69.  (ages 10&+)
Cild $41. (ages 3-9)

Of course, now there is an After-Fireworks Dessert Party option.
This is basically the same as the Garden View except the dessert party also offers more choices such as spinach dip and egg-rolls. Some dessert offerings are also more expanded. ***CORRECTION: BOTH PARTIES OFFER THE SPINACH DIP, CHEESEBURGER SPRING ROLLS!!!  JUST TRIED IT
Prices are the same as Garden View; $69.00 adult and $41. child (3-9)
I would much rather prefer the after party due to it being same cost and better food options.

Both parties basically sit in same area with the 'terrace guests' having a direct view towards the castle.
Both parties offer the same variety of treat at the dessert stations.

How do you decide which is best?

The biggest difference between them would be the cost.
The second difference would be the Fireworks and castle projection view.
The third difference is the possible rain issue.
This event is rain or shine without refund.
The show usually still goes on in rain to an extent, The event also goes on even if fireworks are cancelled. (that is a rare possibility)

The terrance guests get to sit on the terrace area that is covered which is a positive in the off chance it was raining or sprinkling.
The view from the terrence to me is not the best. Some trees and overhead awning blocks the full scale of the show (for me anyway)
It is a nice way to sit and relax however with the show there. It is a far angle viewing as well.

The Plaza Garden Viewing guests sit in a poor viewing area of the event while enjoying your treats, you can then walk out to a reserved Garden Plaza roped off area for your optimum viewing of the Happily Ever After projection/Fireworks Show.  Technically you could stay under the shelter of the area as well if you wanted. I never see it enforced to move to plaza area.

I personally prefer the Garden Plaza View:
You have a more straight on view of castle/projections show and fireworks.  You are a little closer as well.
There is hardly anyone in the private section you are allowed in. Nice and roomy. Kids can play around if disinterested. (I have those kids)
The one time it rained when doing it, we wore our ponchos. Luckily it had mostly stopped but we were fine.
This view is much cheaper for basically the same experience.

The desserts are delicious. My kids love the sparkling cider and feel incredibly special drinking out the 'fancy' flutes they are served in!  It is a very special treat to provide the family and I feel it really adds on to the Magic of your overall experience. I am not one to get in packed in crowds. The roomy viewing area works perfect for me. I feel more secure in where my kids are. It is a less stressful environment with a special treat mixed in.

They also offer a cookie decorating table. I saw some children doing this but it was fun watching the adults being able to act like children again while they were decorating their own cookie! I watch people! These are the special moments I love to see.

Checking in , you will check in from the Main Street side of Tomorrowland terrace. They say to check in early but honestly there is zero reason to. I would just check in at reservation time. I wouldn't bother arriving early. Waste time waiting in line to check in.

These dessert Parties are also offered during the Magic Kingdom Special Party events; Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
They have even more dessert options that are adorably themed!!!
They are also a tad more but I think worth it since the firework shows are always much better during the parties. They are also held in the Terrace view.
Adult $84.  (ages 10&+)
Cild $50. (ages 3-9)
