Disney's Water Parks

Which one is your favorite Disney Water Park; Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

This has always been a huge debate or question on many Disney group pages. I say both are amazing and you will have fun at BOTH!Don't get caught up on making the decision or going off what another prefers. Pick one and have fun.

Blizzard Beach does have a little more in my opinion for the kid age group of 6-12. It is a kid section offering activities such as holding onto a rope while trying to get from one float to another in order to cross the water, a small zip line to fall into water & a drop off slide.

Typhoon also has a set of slides for this kid group but it is a smaller scale area. Appearances can play a major role in timid children. My daughter was eager to try this section at Typhoon since overall it was just this one pair of slides.

They  both have a little kid play area; little float ride, little flume ride, water splash play area. I prefer the kid play area more at Typhoon Lagoon. Many more options there for that age range as well as slightly larger-spread more in my opinion.

They both have (my favorite) relaxing Lazy Rivers

They both have big wave pools. Typhoon's wave pool though has a Giant (typhoon) wave. It can knock you down(it knocked me down while holding my then 4 yr old) but many absolutely love it(such as my boys now). It is on a timer to generate up to 6ft wave every 30 -60 minutes. My older kids would stay in this area all day.

Both have sand areas for playing in the sand.

They both offer Family rides and all the other typical flume offerings.

I don't have a preference. I enjoy them both. We usually alternate parks with each visit.
I may prefer the Blizzard Beach theming if I had to choose. I am just ready to go back!
Do you have a preference?? As I am editing this blog, I actually prefer Typhoon Lagoon a little more. Typhoon also started offering an adult only section which is pretty nice option to have.

Keep in mind when struggling which to go to, your child won't know what they 'may be missing' from other park. They will simply know what the one they go to is offering and the time they have will be memorable. Point, don't stress over it~ you will have a great time either way!

Both offer locker rentals. Single and Double. You pay via kiosk so have a credit card ready.
Towels are not provided but can be rented for $2.00 each

LOTS of lawn chairs but only some available under canopies. Sometimes that is handy when the afternoon showers come through during the summer.

Take a net style beach bag, extra clothes, sunscreen. Can buy a gift card with a wrist strap or use your magic band for any purchases. Of course, stores are available and character Meet & greets are as well. Check the daily schedule to see when, who and where!
