The Boats of Walt Disney World

Launcher
Let's talk about dealing with Disney Boats! Not the cruises but all the boat options available at Walt Disney World.

Never underestimate the convenience of using Disney's Boats for transportation. They usually cycle 15-20 minutes similar to busses. Never crowded that I have witnessed.
These are the resorts that offer Boat transportations to Magic Kingdom
Wilderness Lodge
Fort Wilderness
Polynesian
Grand Floridian

One thing I have always loved when staying at these resorts after leaving a park is seeing the short distance to the boat docks without hardly a line then and just sitting, relaxing as we ride through the calm waters.

These are the resorts that offer Boat Transportation to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios
Boardwalk Inn
Yacht Club
Beach Club
Swan & Dolphin

Motor Launches: Smallest of the Boat Fleet services. Strollers/wheelchairs must be folder up and carried onboard. ECV CANNOT be accommodated on these fleets which is something to consider when deciding where to stay and which transportation service you will be relying on.

Motor Cruisers are larger than the Launches and allow for ECV, Strollers & wheelchairs to be rolled onto.

Friendship Boats are about the same size as the cruisers and allow for the ECV, Strollers & Wheelchairs to roll aboard. HOWEVER, depending on water levels, there can be chances the ramps are not able to be used. Notices will be provided in these instances. These boats are primarily located in Crescent Lake between Parks & Resorts. They also are offered in World Showcase Lagoon.

Ferries offered between Old Key West, Saratoga, Port Orleans and Disney Springs will also accommodate strollers but wheelchairs will have to be folded.

Also, many of the resorts that have the docks, also offer leisure boat rentals as well! I have been fortunate to have had enjoyed these rentals a few times. It is something different for the family to enjoy/experience.
