Disney Jr breakfast on DCL

Disney Jr Character Breakfast available on the Disney Cruise Line sailings.

This is an onboard activity and is available to book a reservation for through the Disney Cruise Site Once your registration date opens AND you are paid in full for your cruise.

This is a free event but it is also a limited availability event.

Of course the Castaway Club members will have first access to the preferred reservation dining times and some times may completely book up. You may NOT book more than one event. They do have two dining offered at times during a cruise sailing but you may only book for one of them.

If you find this event is booked when your time opens for reserving, Keep checking. If you are never able to secure a reservation time, once you board, head immediately to the Excursions desk located on Deck 5 to see if any are available. This can save the day sometimes! I have had to do this myself at times.

Our Reservation was for 9:30am and we arrived at 9:35am. We may have been distracted by a character meet on our way! Oops!

It provides an a'la cart menu dining experience. Although you can request for extras or side items from other offered items. There are also character M&G opportunities from the current Disney Jr characters.

We got to meet Mickey, Vampirina, Sophia the First & Doc McStuffins. One thing different from this character dining experience and the Park ones, They do NOT want the child to leave their seats. They make a big deal of this. If your child does leave, the character will usher them back into their seat before anything else.
I am sure they have their reasons but it was a little odd to me.
When selecting your seats, keep this in mind so the child can easily meet the character without leaving seat and so you can get proper pictures. Lighting is VERY poor in the restaurant , My pictures didn't come out the best! Boo.

The Food:
We had some hiccups in our order. I ordered blueberry pancakes and received chocolate chip. I asked about it and was told they would correct it. I received another order of chocolate chip. (again, in all fairness the lighting was terrible, I can see how they would have a hard time telling the two pancakes apart) We also asked for extra hashbrowns but never received them until it was literally time to leave. Food was ok, not the best. It was free so I feel it is hard to complain about it. My little one greatly enjoyed it so it was still totally worth it. It also broke up the monotony a little from eating breakfast every day at cabanas or one of the routine dining restaurants. I am glad we did it.

The restaurant has screens to display different themes, so on all the screens they had PlayHouse Disney Shows highlighted on them.

This was our first character to meet and Sophia ushered her back to her seat here.
