Day 3 on our 7 night Western Caribbean Disney Cruise.

Day 3 on our 7 night Western Caribbean Disney Cruise.
First Port destination was Cozumel, Mexico

We decided not to get off this day but to simply enjoy the boat with less guests onboard.
We had Breakfast at 8am Cabanas
9:15am, we enjoyed a round of Mini golf located on deck 13

Mini Golf hours are pretty set but certain nights they do close this area early such as Pirate night and on Star Wars at Sea night. If your Cruise has a special celebration, make sure to check the hours it’s available.
This is a self-serve –come as you go activity. The clubs, balls, scorecards & pencils are readily available.
It is only a 9 hole course but it is still really cute and fun to enjoy!

10am Open house for kids clubs –so off we went to enjoy that.
The kids didn’t enjoy it too much. I was surprised to not see many here especially during open house.
They did have many Ipads available to play Disney APPS on. They also had many craft tables where you could create your own art.
After watching my child play on the Ipad for about 30 minutes, I realized we came on the cruise to get away from this sort of stuff.
Now keep in mind, there are numerous club activities available during the cruise. My kids have never been ones to go somewhere on their own or be without us. They had no interest in it.

After our short adventure at the Kid Clubs we Went to the cabin to get ready for pool
We did the pool and Aquaduck for 2 hrs.

Time for lunch—You guessed it Cabanas!

Went to cabin to do change and freshen up from the pool time.
Decided to watch on of the movies available at Buena Vista Theatre. 2pm

Mary Poppins Return.. OK, I will admit and I will be whipped for it I am sure. I did NOT enjoy this movie. It was all over the place with no real story. Hinted at a relationship with Jane and the Guy but then nothing? It’s like, what happened? I didn’t even enjoy the songs.

Off to do the Midship Detective Agency again.. I looked at it that my daughter LOVED it and I was getting some exercise. We walked up and down every deck. I also enjoyed seeing  her excitement as well as working together to guess who did it!

We decided to sit on the Deck (4) as we sailed away from Mexico. Some beautiful views and very relaxing.

Now it was time to freshen up for dinner (Pirate Night)
We didn’t dress up, although it would have been fun to for sure! My family is not the type. My and my daughter did wear our bandanas that Disney provides to all their guests. We also wore dark pirate eye makeup. So we did a little ‘dress up’.. as much as I would get! Haha

I would say about 75% of guests dress up in some fashion either just free banana or the all-out pirate gear. I loved seeing it all!

After Dinner we went off to meet Captain Hook & shmee (they are very playful)

Time to go to the Walt Disney theatre (8pm for the 8:30pm show), they were hosting a ventriloquist show. She was meh. There were some cute moments and some.. okay time to move on moments. The kids seem to really love her!

We were Back in our cabin at 9:30pm to relax. My family that also went with us did go to watch the Fireworks. My kids just are not into them. I love them but I was ok not seeing them. We decided to watch the Pirates of the Caribbean Movies that were available for streaming in the rooms. Had a marathon of the series during our cruise. It was great!
This night did have very Heavy winds and we were ailing at a faster speed per our captain to make it to our destinations. It made for a bumpy ride. We Could feel the motion everywhere on ship. No more or less of any level. The motion didn’t bother me but it was worrisome to family members in the other cabin.

SO TOO much candy and ‘vacation eating’ for our little one! BOOO.
At 12am my little one was throwing up ( Or as Disney calls it, a protein spill)
I went down to guest services and requested the bed to be changed out. I explained what happened.
They did Offer an RN  service (which would have cost us) but I declined. I knew exactly what it was.

I could have paid the cost for the RN visit and simply file a claim under Travel insurance to be reimbursed but since I knew what was going on, the work of it didn’t seem worth it. If there was a bigger issue at hand that showed itself later, I knew I could still call upon the MD/RN visit.

She did throw up more on my bed as cast members was still in cabin cleaning so he went back to grab more bedding to take care of all needed.
I definitely did tip him!

After about 1.5 hours, she was able to go to sleep without any further incident. Cold wet rag on the forehead, sleeping propped up on me and some extra love, she was all set.

Special Note: because We now had a record of the incident, she was banned from the kid clubs until she was evaluated by on board med team. There is no cost to this since it is primarily their request prior to club access and not a ‘sick’ visit.  We never bothered to have her checked since she had no interest in the clubs anyway. She also was completely fine once we cleansed her system from all that candy!

Over all a great day. We enjoyed ourselves! Felt we did quite a bit with relaxation as well.
