Receive a Gift card in Lieu of Mousekeeping at Disney Resorts

What I learned from last trip is that all Values and Moderate resorts are now participating in the Gift Card offer in lieu of Mousekeeping!

SO, how to get this?
You do need to check in at guest relations upon arrival.
They offered it to me, but you may have to request it. Every Castmember is different (and that's ok lol)

The gift card I received was only $20.00 for a 3 night stay. It was well worth taking advantage of.

What this means?
You will not receive any room service such as making the beds, throwing out the trash or cleaning of the room.
BUT you can still request towels and toiletry items such as shampoos, lotions, soaps or even toilet paper depending on how long you are staying and how many is in your party. Our room had two rolls upon arrival for 3 guests on a 4 day stay. We were fine.

You will receive an email of the gift card to the email address on file under your My Disney Experience account. I made a screen shot of my email so I could pull it up easier when ready to use it.
Since one usually takes TONS of pictures during a trip, you may want to mark the picture as a favorite so you can locate it a tad easier.

How to use?
Cast Members can scan the screen the gift card barcode within email to apply to any Disney related purchase. The gift card number is provided as well in case you are using on a reservation that requires prepayment.

What is your thought about this offer?
I think it is a well played move by Disney. This can potentially save them a lot of money! I think it is also a little more eco friendly personally. Bonus, we get a little money back in the process.

virtual Run Disney review from Dealing with Disney

I decided to finally see what the virtual Disney Runs were all about. A friend of mine told me she signed up. She wanted to keep her momentum going which inspired me to look into as well. I have learned to love the Run Disney events. It appears they offer seasonal Virtual events options from the Run Disney website. (see link HERE ) There were 3 races available to choose from or a full circuit registration containing all 3 races. This came with a bonus medal as well.  Each event was $45.00 and the combined package was $145.00. This was more $$ obviously but ok, I can see they have added in the cost of the extra medal you earn. What does this get me or should I say, what do I get out of this event? I can see the Disney love of just doing it for Disney,  doing it for the medal or doing it to keep momentum of working towards goals. The Garden Grill 2020 experience

 I have always loved the Garden Grill restaurant located in EPCOT.  The food has NEVER disappointed.  The rotating dining room is such a peaceful addition to your setting.  One care barely tell it rotates, it is so slow.  I am pretty positive it takes a full hour to make a full rotation  As it rotates you can get some over view of the Living with the Land Attraction which I absolutely love.  Many of the fresh garden items are harvested directly from that garden (Living with the Land Attraction) .  They serve breakfast lunch and dinner but currently it is only lunch and dinner. Hopefully full operations will be back up and running.  Garden Grill is a set menu all you can eat family style meal. This location offers characters; Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale however they are not interacting right now.
