Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Party experience 2018

I am fortunate enough to have experienced the Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Parties offered at Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World!

The decorations are just adorable!
So many Magic Shots to be had with the Photo Pass stations throughout the park!

I didn't take many pictures this year as previous trips. I wanted to enjoy the moments more!

This year, regular guests were to leave park at 6pm. Cast Members checked for special event bands on any guests wanting to ride attractions starting at 6pm.

This year was probably the best one yet. It could have been the company?!
I was able to meet up with two friends while there! We were pretty much going with the flow in our decisions of what to do. I did meet them right before start of the party. I did get done most of my 'must dos' prior. It can sometimes get tricky when going through parks with friends or other party members. We did separate a couple of times and met back up. I think we are like minded friends which worked out well!

Most rides had pretty much little to no wait. 7 Dwarf & Peter Pan still had a consistent queue of 45 minutes. Their lines did go down the later it got. When some of the families with smaller kids had to head out. That is when we chose to ride 7 Dwarf. We would have made time for PP as well but we had already conquered it the day prior.

My plan of action: Wanted to arrive at 4pm but arrived at 4:30pm. (transportation issue-plus ran late issue)
I always like to get 'must do' items out of the way so I can make sure to relax more remainder of the time. In this case, I wanted my daughter to get her simple rides in since we could knock them out quick. I knew my son's would be better played out later in evening. It was a slight roll of the dice with his however since the weather could effect it. It worked out for us this time.

Grabbed the special Orange Bird Sorcerer's Card from Fire station.
Grabbed my Milkshake
Hit many of the basic rides first:
Little mermaid
Dumbo
Goofy Barnstormer
Small World
Haunted Mansion
Party officially Started at 7pm
Hit candy lines between rides and when moving from land to land.
Listened to Cadaver Dans as walking through Frontierland, they were a hoot.
Big Thunder Mtn RR.
First Hocus Pocus show cancelled due to lightening storm.
Tea cups
Stopped by Cosmic Ray's to eat quick bite & rest a minute. (Did eat prior to party and hoped that it would tied us over but we still ended up getting hungry)
People Mover
(Could have done Buzz since only 5 min but my kids didn't care and we have done it plenty)
Met Lotso(only character on my must meet list to meet)
Space Mtn
7 dwarf Mine train (25 min wait)
Met Pooh & friends (35 min wait--go figure-- thinking Christopher Robin movie played a part)
Watched the 12am Hocus Pocus stage show.

What you should do when closing a park. Let majority of crowd leave before leaving in the herd with them. Walk around the park a little and enjoy the decor/spirit. I would have but my poor little troopers hit their wall! The park monorail also was out of commission from technical problems.. Agh! can't wait for the new fleet. SO my 'go to' resort monorail option was over flowing with guests. We decided to get on the ferry. We drove to the park for this trip. We walked right on luckily!
Things definitely happen for a reason! We were able to see the Space rocket launch while riding the Ferry! It was simply amazing!! My son was overcome with feeling of pride to be an American! I thought it was so cool how he felt that from seeing it! We watched it separate and disappear into space. We could  even see the boosters falling back down. Incredible!  Always watch the calendar in case one may be going while you are in town! Launch schedule

We made it back to room by 1:30.. We were pooped! I let the kids sleep in some since we had a light day planned for next day.
