Be Our Guest Dinner

The New Be Our Guest Dinner!

Is it worth it or no?

You know how you always regret not trying something! You are left wondering if you may be missing out. That 'question' will never be fully answered until you try it sometimes.
I feel this restaurant is one of those places.

There are so many mixed reviews, those reviews can't always answer what your experience 'could' be.
There are the ones that will have something negative to say about everything yet are always first in line for said things. There are also the people who think it is sacrilegious to say anything bad about Disney. How do you get the right answer???

I don't regret for a minute trying the Be Our Guest restaurant. It was not the best and I don't have a desire to do again but I am glad I was able to experience it.

I have not eaten there since they have updated the menu. I have a good friend that has and she was not fully impressed! I get the feeling I would have the same outcome as my first experience except at a higher cost but new menu options.

I did have a reservation but I ended up giving it up about a week prior to my recent trip.
Main reasons:
I had two kids with me who I knew would not eat the food. I didn't want to waste the money especially with the pre-set pricing they have now. If you have a reservation, they will charge you the set price under the new setting.

I feel I have had this exact meal already in other Disney restaurants as well or at least very similar.

The third reason, I didn't want to take the time from my park touring. I do normally utilize table service while in parks. This was a short trip so I preferred to make more time in park versus dining.

Now, the atmosphere or the notoriety of being there speaks for itself! You can definitely claim that you have a reservation or experienced 'Be Our Guest' and I believe you would feel the magic of being there.
I prefer the Castle Gallery or West Wing section of the dining rooms. The Ballroom is nice if sitting right next to the windows that show the falling snow but if not sitting there, it feels too cafeteria like. If you have proper expectations, you will enjoy it!

The food was never great for me before. I usually get the steak/mignon or tenderloins most places I eat at. I have had MUCH better steak at other places.  The feedback I received was as follows.
"The food was wonderfully done in presentation but the food quality was lacking(either over or under cooked). selections from this experience:  Saffron-infused seafood, smoked Ricotta & Corn Tortellini. "

The dessert was the best part but again in presentation. The dessert platter had an edible chocolate design placed on plate. It is the stain glass image that looks like part of the plate itself.
The white chocolate mouse filled Chip cup was by far the cutest.

So, should you go? By all means, go experience it and enjoy it. Especially if you feel you won't have that satisfaction fulfilled if you don't. As long as you have proper perspective, it will be fine!
It is currently the only place to meet The Beast, that speaks for itself! He is really fun to meet!

I would not use a dining plan credit for this unless one just needed to use the credits. You can get more out of your plan at other dining locations.
Now for Breakfast or Lunch, it is a good choice for a quick service credit.
