Ganachery House at Disney Springs

I hope you find this humorous ~ my idiocy for the day!
You know how it seems when things go wrong or one makes mistakes, it is like a roll of them before you get back on track!

That is how my trip seemed to go last go around!

I wanted to give a huge should out to the World of Disney staff of Disney Springs for going above and beyond in correcting MY own mistake!!
Also, it will give others a littler perspective when making certain purchases!

I really wanted to surprise my kids since they were left home while I went to Disney. I wanted a real SPLURGE, something fun and unique!

I saw it, sitting right there as if a spotlight was shining upon on it as soon as I walked into the glittery store!
The Chocolate Ganachery house! SO beautiful and meant to be destroyed with the adorable little hammer! What kid would not like to break something like this apart??? When do we ever get to 'destroy' something that looks so glorious!
Plus, all the yumminess it had waiting at the crack of the hammer!

I purchased it my first day there at night. No problem. It was very cold and the thought of it being an issue never occurred to me! Who would think you would have to 'think' while in the most magical place?!

No problem! I kept it in the room until our last day. My only concern was it getting knocked around in the box while holding and transporting it.

Our last day, we packed the car. We went and did our touring plans; Animal Kingdom Park, Beach club resort, EPCOT and back to Disney Springs for a quick run for Gourmet Cotton Candy(yes it is my new love)
Well.. I got in the car and realized chocolate DOES melt?! WHAT... Chocolate melts at Disney???
In super warm FL weather? I thought all rules cease to exist here.. Let me tell you, they don't.

So my poor house I was to surprise my kids with was now a pile of mush.. Like a chocolate explosion diaper load. FYI~normal food returns are not allowed..
WHAT harm can come to asking?
I took my melting mess back into the store with my head down in shame.
They looked at me like I just provided them with the ultimate dumb tourist story for the day. With my new winning story for them to taut they let me exchange my mess!!! I was SOOOO happy and SOOOO grateful!
Thank you castmembers for saving the day!

SO... what could I have done to have avoided this mess?
I could have left it at guest relations at my resort and picked it back up prior to heading out. It would have saved me lots of time(by not having to exchange it) and would have saved a delicious house.
I could have bought it on my way leaving Disney as another option.

If Flying! This is maybe something you may want to enjoy during your stay. More than likely TSA would not allow it on the flight and packing it could also create a disaster, They don't ship food items for a reason!
