My Dapper Day Experience!

I was able to partake in Dapper Day at Magic Kingdom of Disney World!

I LOVED IT!

Now, we did have a ton of people asking, 'why are you dressed up, is there something going on?'.
So, let me do my best to explain what Dapper Day is!

Twice a year, people come together on a pre-arranged day to dress up and parade their finest Sunday outfits at Disney. Most era inspired outfits are around the 40-50's years but I have also seen flappers which are ADORABLE! It is hard to go wrong in your attire.

They hold these Dapper Days one weekend in the Spring and one in the Fall. The Fall is much easier since NOT so hot. Spring can get quite toasty depending on the outfit of choice.

Most outfits worn also are Disney inspired from Haunted Mansion, Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan and all kinds of others. Some are just snazzy outfits without a theme.

I did wear heels which did end up killing my tootsies. I broke my cardinal rule, do NOT wear new shoes on a park day. Many girls did wear heals and many were smarter and wore adorable flats. I would wear heels again if I go back. I have to look Tip Top!

It was so much fun getting so many compliments, strolling the park and having instant connections with so many other Dapper guests! The Dapper goers seem to draw to each other and a main mission is to take pictures with each other. Many single Dapper guests were touring the parks which is perfect if you are considering touring the park alone. This makes a great opportunity to connect to others, especially if hesitant on going it alone!

On our Dapper Day, The gathering started at Animal Kingdom and then was to Move to Magic Kingdom by 3pm. We chose to start at Magic Kingdom for the day and many others also did the same.

I do love the instant camaraderie the event has, I am still an observer at heart. I love to observe and enjoy in the special moments other guests have.  Something magical about enjoying those moments, no wonder Walt wanted to create a place where magical moments can happen! He loved to sit and watch at the parks. It is Priceless!  I even saw many kids in on the action! Now they were precious!

it is a really great time to take some wonderful themed pictures at the parks as well! I saw SO many wonderful picture spots! The Purple Wall was Busy on this Day!

Disney puts out their Main Street Vehicles for perfect Picture Ops!

virtual Run Disney review from Dealing with Disney

I decided to finally see what the virtual Disney Runs were all about. A friend of mine told me she signed up. She wanted to keep her momentum going which inspired me to look into as well. I have learned to love the Run Disney events. It appears they offer seasonal Virtual events options from the Run Disney website. (see link HERE ) There were 3 races available to choose from or a full circuit registration containing all 3 races. This came with a bonus medal as well.  Each event was $45.00 and the combined package was $145.00. This was more $$ obviously but ok, I can see they have added in the cost of the extra medal you earn. What does this get me or should I say, what do I get out of this event? I can see the Disney love of just doing it for Disney,  doing it for the medal or doing it to keep momentum of working towards goals. All options seemed very reasonable to me and got me excited, therefore I signed up for the gauntlet. My friend pointed out her whole family

Walt Disney World Halloween 2020 re-opening experiences by Dealing with Disney

My review from my latest Disney world experience.   This trip was definitely not one of my favorites! Before you read all my cons.. .Keep  in mind, I still enjoyed this trip.  The main point of this is to have proper expectation for your needs/stay. If you go into a park without proper expectation, it can really throw your trip OFF!  We had some great moments. We had some rest spots - drinks - treats which were nice.   One amazing PLUS: The security checks are a breeze now! No lie.. their big concern are umbrellas and water bottles (metal ones) tend to set off the machines. They ask for those to be pulled out of back packs but all other items you can walk through with!  I loved still having the time to appreciate the little things in the park that we take for granted. The craftsmanship in all the art around the park/architecture , the plant life every where!   I will be honest, part of the reason was due to my own family! Hey, I always like to keep It real-in perspective we shall say.
