Caribbean Beach Resort review and Pirate Room review!

I have stayed at Caribbean Beach previously but needed first hand experience on the pirate rooms!
I must say, I do love the theming. They spared no detail as expected. My little one at first was not keen on the large pirate flag looking curtain that separated room from bathroom/vanity area.

I had to push to side but eventually she started calling me Captain Mom and I had to call her Captain Myla! Fun!

I did put in a room request but did not receive any part of my request which is how it goes sometimes. I requested a room closest as possible to Main pool and a bottom floor(this resort has no elevator). I received a top floor in the furthest out building. I survived! Even though we were further out in our building, the walk to the bus stop was very short.

All the rooms have gone through their refurbishment. The main construction is still on their food court & Main hub/market area (Centertown). They are also building a tower hotel I could see since they will be selling Disney Vacation Club properties there. They building reminded me of the Animal Kingdom Lodge building structure with the parking under building. We shall see though. I do know the rates for the DVC will be same as all the other properties and not discounted.
They are also building the gondolas, so that is a bit of a big project. The resort grounds looked great.
Like at Coronado Springs, they are giving their guests a 'pardon our dust' pin set. It is very cute.

I have not heard many complaints really on the food options at the resort so I was a tad disappointed in them when I went. They did have a food truck but it was very limited; Hot Dogs and Hamburgers, few other items.   They also had a buffet spread set up in a decent size secure temp controlled tent. The food options were plentiful but not what I was wanting.

They did have a make shift gift shop set up in another truck. Extremely limited items of no importance. They also had a makeshift bar that several people were taking advantage of. This was also in set up via trailer. If the weather is severe, all this closes! Keep that in mind.
They do have room service options as well but they definitely charge for the service. I have been known to pay for convenience however. I can't deny it.

The resort was worth the rates. They really are not too much more than the value resorts and the rooms offer much more comfort. The pool is also way nicer! The rooms are Slightly smaller than the deluxe but they have the comfort of them.
The Pirate beds are only full size, so depending on the size of your kids or partners, it could be cramped sleeping quarters.

Entrance to ordering window and the Buffet housing. You can only go in tent if you purchase the buffet otherwise, you have to eat food truck options at outside table or back in room.

The bar was a happening place

They had a room designated for merchandise pick up from the parks.

We enjoyed some tv and dinner on a rained out night. It was nice to relax
