THE REGAL EAGLE SMOKEHOUSE quick service review by Dealing with Disney

I tried the Regal Eagle Smokehouse

 

This quick service dining location is located at EPCOT in the American Pavilion. It is a quick service dining location.

 

There is large indoor seating section as well as outside picnic style seating area-Each table has large umbrellas to help provide shade!

 

This location’s menu was revamped not too long ago! Similar style but more BBQ theming added than before as well as more BBQ menu items.

Basic items are still available-limited though.

 

I tried the North Carolina Chopped Smoked Pork Butt Platter!

 Basically chopped butt roast served with garlic toast and a side item.

It does come with a sauce already on the meat—but if you scroll on the APP when ordering the selected item—you can remove that sauce! Make sure to really look over the APP when ordering for all selections available!

 

You also get to add another choice sauce to your entrée; tangy mustard, sweet BBQ, Spicy mop, north Carolina vinegar or again no sauce. Keep in mind this is an extra sauce option!

It will come in a little plastic sauce container.

 

For my side, I chose the mac & Cheese—Disney Mac& cheese never disappoints! Always perfectly cream -never dry-not watery but just right!

For our other entrée, we chose the seasoned fries.  It is also very rare for Disney to disappoint with their fries! I try to limit fry intake on normal life but at Disney, they are super yummy!

 

Let me tell you -they were both really good! The seasoned fries were not too spicey as some seasoned fries can be.

 

I also ordered the Banana Pudding as my dessert! Oh my gosh –it did NOT disappoint. It was so yummay!!!! The wafers were crisp –not soft at all!

It was shared between us!

 

Now, my entrée was ok but I could not finish my meat. The meat was so extremely salty. I am not sure if this was a fluke or the new meat standard..

I will have to try another entrée another day. I like eating at this location. It always seems to be where I end up when I am ready for lunch! I enjoy the seating in there-nice air conditioning! Spacious.

 

Next time, I may get the a Kid meal however so I can get a free Kid drink with my meal. (It will save me $4.00) or I could ask for a free ice water.

 

One other hiccup I did not care for. They had no visible signage to give direction where to go once your pre-order was ready for pick up.. I had to ask. It is the far left side of building. There is an exterior entrance for entry only towards end of walk way. This is also where one would go for the restrooms that are slightly further down.

One nice option to eating at the American Pavilion, it is directly across from the American Gardens Theatre which hosts festival concert series; eat to the beat, Garden Rocks and the candlelight Processional. Great chance to sit, enjoy some much and enjoy some food.

virtual Run Disney review from Dealing with Disney

I decided to finally see what the virtual Disney Runs were all about. A friend of mine told me she signed up. She wanted to keep her momentum going which inspired me to look into as well. I have learned to love the Run Disney events. It appears they offer seasonal Virtual events options from the Run Disney website. (see link HERE ) There were 3 races available to choose from or a full circuit registration containing all 3 races. This came with a bonus medal as well.  Each event was $45.00 and the combined package was $145.00. This was more $$ obviously but ok, I can see they have added in the cost of the extra medal you earn. What does this get me or should I say, what do I get out of this event? I can see the Disney love of just doing it for Disney,  doing it for the medal or doing it to keep momentum of working towards goals. All options seemed very reasonable to me and got me excited, therefore I signed up for the gauntlet. My friend pointed out her whole family

Walt Disney World Halloween 2020 re-opening experiences by Dealing with Disney

My review from my latest Disney world experience.   This trip was definitely not one of my favorites! Before you read all my cons.. .Keep  in mind, I still enjoyed this trip.  The main point of this is to have proper expectation for your needs/stay. If you go into a park without proper expectation, it can really throw your trip OFF!  We had some great moments. We had some rest spots - drinks - treats which were nice.   One amazing PLUS: The security checks are a breeze now! No lie.. their big concern are umbrellas and water bottles (metal ones) tend to set off the machines. They ask for those to be pulled out of back packs but all other items you can walk through with!  I loved still having the time to appreciate the little things in the park that we take for granted. The craftsmanship in all the art around the park/architecture , the plant life every where!   I will be honest, part of the reason was due to my own family! Hey, I always like to keep It real-in perspective we shall say.
