EPCOT re-opening experience by Dealing with Disney

I was able to get a lot done even though it was limited hours. I was only here for a 4 day visit with two of those days being travel days.

EPCOT is a great park to visit especially while the crowds are down due to limited capacity.

My day at EPCOT under recent re-opening guidelines.

It was a pretty low key day!

Always keep in mind while reading—things are constantly changing!

I chose EPCOT as a day to visit with a travel day.

In theory, it would have been best to plan to coincide with arrival day since this park is opened the latest.

My thought process on this; I wanted to maximize attraction experiences . The other parks just had more expected crowd per desired attractions so EPCOT matched my needs/time. I knew I could knock out what I wanted out of EPCOT within 4 hours and I did just that, actually 3 hr 45 min! I was able to head back home by 3pm for a 7 hour drive.  This was reasonable for my needs. I also enjoyed getting up later this day being our last; taking time to pack, more relaxed and enjoy a breakfast.

Food & Wine Festival is going on (yes, earlier than usual—but this year has been anything but usual).

Remy’s Hide & Squeak Scavenger hunt is going on!

We drove into the parking lot.. Had to make a few loops in order to hit magic time they allowed cars into lot.  (see this experience HERE on entering parks)

Managed to enter park at 10:38am. The Posted park hours were 11am-9pm

We headed straight for The Land Pavilion for Soarin’ and Living with the Land attractions.

10:47 am entered queue for Soarin’.

I asked for section B—one cast member was very nice and allowed it while another cast member rudely commented (totally unwarranted) that they are not allowing special requests. Oh yes, I did let them know what I thought.. FYI.. Section B row 2 is most optimal viewing for this attraction.

10:44 am boarded Living with the Land. We had the whole boat to ourselves. Nice!!!

I did skip the Living Seas and Nemo.. I have seen It many times and just didn’t want to account for the time on my limited day. It is not my favorite attraction.

Turtle Talk with Crush is currently not operating (for our visit)

I skipped Journey Into Imagination as well! Again, not my favorite and no kids—so no need.. Now if it was the original one—I so would have done it.

Off to Spaceship Earth! 11:40am and off at 11:59pm

Now off to World Showcase.

We skipped Mission to Mars (too claustrophobic for me—too close to a panic attack last time I tried it), Skipped Test Track (was down )

Grabbed me a Remy’s Hide & Squeak Hunt scavenger map! (Click Me for information)

Grabbed me some food & wine item located in the Mexico Pavilion! It was YUMMY!

Click here for some information on this year’s festival

12:35pm entered queue for Gran Fiesta inside the Mexico Pavilion.

On to find more of Remy hiding spots.

Entered Frozen Ever After inside Norway Pavilion—entered queue at 12:49pm. 20 min posted waittime. Time listed was exact!

Still finding more Remy spots throughout the lands

Decided to eat Lunch in the American Pavilion, finished finding our scavenger hunt, grabbed one more Food & Wine festival item then left at 2:45pm

All in all a great day!

Was able to take some pictures-would have been happy if I did have all day but I didn’t. More pictures I would have loved to take.

I did skip over the shows available at China and Canada.

I was a little sad to not see any of the special entertainment that EPCOT used to offer.

If my time had not been restricted, I could have gone back to experience Test Track or enjoy some of the same attractions already experienced for the day.

I don’t know how people eat around the world. I get too full too quick!

I will be so happy once EPCOT completes their construction surrounding future world. It is such a mess. It is confusing for guests unfamiliar with layout as well as takes longer to get around it all.

This is my typical touring plan for this park anyway. Usual hours had Future world open 2-3 hours before World Showcase opened. This allowed time to get attractions mostly done before touring the showcase. Easy to come back after touring showcase to repeat or experience attractions if missed/attractions that were not a priority.

Currently the KidCot stations are not open. They currently have little bags available to pick up –filled with post cards featuring each Pavilion to color and attach designated country sticker to it. Pretty cute.

Each post card has a great little fun fact on it as well!

It seemed lots of Flower & Garden Merch was still available.

There was lots of Merch in general! Usually the Merch booths are busy as well but I hardly saw anyone in there! It was a little sad but not surprising. I feel they lost their fad momentum.

I always enjoy browsing through some of the pavilion shops!

It was also a little sad seeing the Empty kiddie playgrounds.

Merch still avail from the previous Flower and Garden Festival.. I have to say --I do LOVE this shirt. Very light material which is nice for hot days.

I wish I had taken an extra minute here. There was a couple here waiting for their photo pass opportunity. I just ran in and snagged a quick picture in between the one family leaving and the other one getting ready.  I should have waited and taken my time to frame this better. the Sky was just gorgeous

Random characters will still appear but they are kept at a distance. Mary Poppins stood in the Gazebo while people could talk with her or take pictures of themselves with her in the back ground.. Not very appealing to me. I only watched two guests interact with her.

One of the two playgrounds available at EPCOT

NOT loving these photo pass pictures right now.. tad pointless.. If your mask is not covering you, they will not allow the image to populate under your My Disney Experience account.
