Bon Voyage Breakfast Review

Let’s discuss the Bon Voyage breakfast available at Trattoria al Forna located on the Boardwalk by Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort.
It’s a must!!
It is a set priced meal, $34. per adult (10&+) Child meals $8.00
The seating was a bit slow which was fine since we had to wait for character rotation anyway. Many open tables when we sat but they had many people waiting for their tables.

This is considered a character meal. You get to meet Prince Eric and Ariel as well as Rapunzel and Flynn. They do not sign autographs. We were immediately given a card with pre-printed autographs. Honestly, any time I get these, they go right in the trash. You could take a picture of them and add it into a photo character book to be made through Shutterfly or another print service site preferred. I would have asked if they would sign anyway but since I forgot my autograph book, I thought it may not be good timing.
We drove over to the Boardwalk from home resort. We were checking out this day. I made a 10am reservation so not to be rushed. We were so fortunate to find a close parking spot (as close as we could anyway within a resort parking lot). If we were not driving, I definitely would have used the Minnie Van service or Used regular Lyft service. It is worth the savings in time and convenience. If I relied on Disney transportation, It would have been a transfer between modes and at least 60-90 minute travel time allotment.
They have a little booth (which crowds the entrance in my opinion) of souvenirs to be had; dresses for Rapunzel and Ariel, Spin toys & stuffed animals so you don't forget to buy another gift for your child!!
The Characters were very charming, really provided time at each table I noticed. Our wait staff was great.
An unlimited bread/pastry basket is delivered almost immediately. Included in this is a chocolate chip croissant(same as the Cat tail but without icing), danishes and muffins. We took ours in a take-home box to eat on the road home.
I ordered the Royale Breakfast; Oak-grilled steak, cheesy-egg Torte and fonduta with roasted Potatoes and onion crisps. This Steak was so tasty and tender. I savored every bite! I didn't quite care for the torte. The potatoes were also flavorful that I ate everyone.
My son selected the Tower of Pancakes & seasonal fruit with Bacon or sausage. They are very thick pancakes. He enjoyed them. He is an extremely picky eater so I would have heard if something was even slightly off.
My little one enjoyed the Flounders Flapjacks with a choice of bacon or sausage and fresh fruit. She selected bacon and also wanted the sausage, which she got. Everyone was happy!
They do offer specialty drinks that come in a souvenir cup as well as a light up Ariel or Pascal. I bought Pascal separately for $5.00 without the drink. He was too cute to pass up!!! Adorable. I may have an addiction to things that sparkle or glow..
My recommendations are to try this. I don't like doing table services outside of parks for breakfast on park days. It makes me anxious. I can't relax enough to fully enjoy it without thinking about getting to the park early or getting to attractions. These are best for rest days or check out days in my opinion so you can fully enjoy it without any rush.
This is a very popular location and I do recommend booking at dining release date. I also always recommend looking at your APP when there in case something does pop open!
Let me know if you have eaten here and what your experience has been. Since this location is Very close to the back entrance of EPCOT, I would consider this on an EPCOT park touring day. It is an easy walk between restaurant and EPCOT showcase entrance.
